嘉義創意文化園區案懸在半空中，文化部長洪孟啟19日視察嘉義市後表示，正與嘉創園區得標業者協調降低餐飲營業規模至少5%，強化扶植傳統工藝的文創發展，以利盡早簽約，此外，市立美術館停車問題會與園區一併處理。文化部主管的嘉義文創園區經過3次流標，修訂部分招商條件後，去年第4次招標由新嘉文創公司得標，但至今未簽約。招商條件規範租用期15年，得續租1次10年，租用期限內前4年免繳納土地租金，第5年至第15年期間，每年按當年度土地依法應計收之地價稅繳納土地租金，政府每年收取定額營運權利金250萬元。

文化部長洪孟啟表示，全國5大文創園區正進行總體檢，嘉創園區定位在扶植傳統工藝，會朝此方向執行，為加強文創，減低商業氣息，該部與得標業者正協調餐飲營業規模從現占20%調整為15%，以期能盡早完成簽約。洪孟啟表示，文化部規畫嘉創園區、市立美術館、嘉義車站後站串連成帶狀的文化藝術發展創意區塊，會協助處理市美館的功能性、停車空間不足等問題。洪孟啟也走訪洪雅書坊、國定古蹟嘉邑城隍廟等地，他表示，文化部規畫「振興出版」方案，有圖書禮券、書價訂價機制等配套措施，以提振日益萎縮的出版業發展。(中國時報)，
